SCHOOL PROFILE

The prestigious institution of GHPS, Kalkaji is recognised as one of the leading educational institution of South Delhi today. From a humble beginning of primary school in April 1985, it has taken rapid strides to become a progressive bastion of education. The total strength of our students stands at 1700 and the strength of our Teaching Staff, Administrative Staff and Class IV employees is 140.

Spirituality forms the backbone of our education system. Our students are trained to imbibe the holy teachings of the gurus in their dealings with humanity when they step out into the world.

OUR VISION

Our School has an exalted aim and a profound message the one given by our beloved Gurus which has been engraved in the school motto: ‘Vidya Vichari Tan Parupkari’. Rendered into English, it means that he is learned indeed, who does good to others. The vision of the school is to produce ideal members of society, progressive students with competent and balanced personalities. Education at G.H.P.S provides the learners with value education, in the changing scenario of the new millennium. Emphasis is laid on developing confidence and leadership qualities among the children. Learning is facilitated under the loving care and guidance of the teacher in an atmosphere free of pressure or burden. The roots are firmly set in tradition, culture and philosophy to develop strong interpersonal and communication skills.

To nurture the inherent talent of each child and help him to soar high in a world characterized by rapid technological changes. We here at G.H.P.S offer an environment to its students which allow their multifaceted growth and development into responsible citizens and professionals of tomorrow. Our motto is to build human behaviour & character by including ethical and moral concerns in the curriculum and imparting a value-based education to our students.

INFRASTRUCTURE

We pride ourselves on the infrastructure the school has today. There are three sections of each class from Primary Segment onwards. We have a modern staffroom with more than 80 lockers. Our Administrative staff functions smoothly & efficiently from a sleek & stylish office. Our students can avail the transport facility of three comfortable school buses and a van.
We derive our moral & spiritual sustenance from the gurudwara which is right inside the school precincts. The three well equipped and spacious science labs provide a platform for the students to satisfy their inquisitive urge. Keeping in mind the techno savvy world around us we have upgraded our two Computer labs with the latest technological knowhow.
