The event was attended by esteemed members of Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee and members of the School Management Committee. The guests were welcomed by the school Principal, Ms. Bhavjeet Kaur. In her speech, our respected Principal Ma’am informed the gathering about the Interactive Smart classes happening in our school. She also informed that our school will be introducing Vocational courses in the forthcoming session 2025-26 to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical learning.
‘Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam: The world is one family’ formed the backdrop of the ceremony. The bright, smiling faces of the children encapsulated their spirit of optimism.

* A gorgeous Fashion Show showcased the Unity in Diversity in our country.
* Children bonded together as global citizens in a Dance Drama with brilliant costumes.
* The iconic theme song of yesteryears ‘We are the world’ was brought to life by the foot-tapping dance of the zestful children.

International Mother Language Day

Guru Harkrishan Public School, Kalkaji, in collaboration with the Punjabi Language Promotion Committee and other branches of GHPS, put up a stupendous performance to commemorate the ‘International Mother Language Day’.
The program was organised on February 14, 2025, at the Mata Sahib Kaur Auditorium of Mata Sundri College for Women, in which 300 students from about 15 schools participated together. The Chief Guest for the day was the President of Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee, S. Harmeet Singh Kalka ji.
The objective of the grand event was to celebrate the vivacity of the Punjabi culture, its values and ethos.
The facet which was selected to showcase this fascinating culture was the revival of the lost rituals of a typical grandiose Punjabi Wedding.
A myriad number of events connected to a traditional Punjabi Wedding ceremony were presented on the stage in an endearing way by the students which appealed to the audience wonderfully.
GHPS, Kalkaji had the honour to portray the ritualistic scenes of smearing turmeric paste on the bride to make her glow for her special day and the custom of adorning the bride with bangles by relatives, while melodious wedding songs were sung by the students.
The program received accolades from the Chief Guest for a dazzling performance.

Smart Classes

Smart boards aids the teachers in creating an engaging and interactive learning environment where students eagerly participate. The interactive whiteboard enhances the learning experience by integrating multimedia elements such as images, videos, and animations, making lessons more engaging and dynamic. It also allows for interactive quizzes, games, and virtual simulations, making learning more immersive and enjoyable.

This technology accommodates different learning styles, ensuring that visual, auditory, and kinaesthetic learners can easily grasp new concepts. Collaborative features enable students to work together on activities, fostering teamwork and critical thinking. Real-time feedback and assessments allow teachers to identify students’ needs and adjust their teaching strategies accordingly, leading to more effective learning outcomes. Additionally, the ability to record lessons provides students with the flexibility to review concepts at their own pace, reinforcing understanding and retention.

Overall, smart classes create an interactive and stimulating environment that enhances both teaching and learning. They make lessons more enjoyable, encourage active participation, and improve student comprehension. By integrating technology into education, smart classes promote a modern and engaging approach to learning, preparing students for a technology-driven world.
